ROKURA Ltd. was registered by founding associates: Cristian Georgescu, Cristian Pamfilie and the Japanese corporation OKURA & Co. Ltd.
Rokura started as a professional radio-communications operator, being the first distributor of MOTOROLA two-way professional radio-dispatch systems

The Consortium made up by Motorola, Telenor, TeleDenmark and Rokura participated in the first tender for a GSM operator license. The bid was not succesful.
The company started to diversify its activities, capitalizing on its wireless expertize. Data communications over satellite were the object of Roknet, one of the first Internet Service Providers in Romania. When it reached a 38% share of the corporate market, the operation was sold to the US based operator Euroweb

Okura Japan was declared in bankruptcy, one of the major casualty of the big South East Asian financial crisis at the time. Okura’s financial exposure in large infrastructure investments in countries like Malaesia, Indonesia and Philipines has proven too risky

Signing of the national licensee contract for the global orbital satellite network ORBCOMM – US, a service for small volumes of data communications, dedicated for monitoring applications (SCADA type).

ROKURA APLICATII INDUSTRIALE is founded, following the acquisition of the European licence for Aquygen (Hydrogen Rich Gas).
The American company Hydrogen Technology Applications Inc (HTA), the global license owner for the development and commercialization of the producing technology of Aquygen and its applications, has been and continues to be a close and active collaborator in the R&D activity and in the creation of Intellectual Property. As soon as the scope of getting to the commercial stage of R&D results will be reached, HTA and Rokura will establish an entity with world-wide commercial rights.
Since 2004, an intense R&D activity started to develop applications in the energy generation area, related to combustion improvement of liquid and solid fossil fuels, together with significant specific emmissions reduction
